EARLY LIFE AND FAMILY
Tripti Dimri was born in New Delhi (1994), to her mother Meenakshi Dimri, a homemaker, and to her father, Dinesh Prasad Dimri, an Air India employee. She also has a sister, Nisha Dimri. Originally from Garhwal, Uttarakhand, she along with her family are settled in New Delhi because of her father’s job. She attended DPS Firozabad for her final education before continuing on to Sri Aurobindo College of Delhi University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Tripti has always had a strong desire to work in the film industry and has a passion for acting. Tripti began her career doing television ads. After earning her degree in psychology, she made the decision to pursue acting and enrolled in acting workshops at the Pune-based Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).

She made her acting debut in the 2017 film Poster Boys starring Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyansh Talpade. She was also the main character in the Imtiaz Ali film Laila Majnu. With the 2020 release of Bulbul, an Anvita Dutt film starring prominent cast members Paoli Dam, Parambrata Chatterjee, Rahul Bose, and Avinash Tiwari, she made her acting debut on the OTT platform. In 2022, she teams together with Anvita Dutt for Qala, co-starring with Babil Khan and Swastika Mukherjee. Both reviewers and viewers gave the film's visual style, narrative, cinematography, acting, director, and production design positive ratings. Numerous critics praised her performance and said it was among the best of 2022. In the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film, Animal, her few minutes appearance stole the whole show. She seems to collaborate with Anand Tiwari and Vicky Kaushal for her next project.
